8.2.1 Linear Placing

This very fast algorithm simply places the lipids row by row. You should use it if you want to create a membrane with a monotonous pattern.

Before it starts, you can choose whether or not the lipids should be rotated randomly around their y-axis.

You can do that separately for each microdomain. By default, no rotation is used.

Although multiple lipids are possible, this algorithm works best if only one type of lipid is used in each domain, plus no random rotation is selected.
